Chemical Dosage Units... Chlorine is the most widely used disinfector from old times. An important factor of wide usage of chlorine is, beside being a cheap disinfector, it has permanent affect. By the time chlorine is mixed with water, some organic materials and heavy metals inside water comes into reaction After all reactions come into action, by leaving 0.5 mg/lt free bacteria chlorine at water, will prevent micro-organism activity till final use point. Chemical dosage units are used at many areas of industry ( drinking and industrial water purification, food industry, cosmetic industry, heating and cooling systems, chemical industry, leather industry etc..) for dosing of very different kinds of chemicals. In general means, main purpose of dosage units used at purification system is to bring water Quality to desired level. At closed circuit systems, (cooling towers, hot water and steam boilers) scale preventive, biocide oxygen conservative and dispersant dosing. At reverse osmosis systems, dosing of antiscalant, sodium met bisulfate and similar chemicals. For PH balancing, dosing of acid or alkaline, dosing of chlorine, hydrogen peroxide and their similar for disinfection and oxidant purpose, flocculants (FeCI3, A12(S04)3) dosing at waste water foundation, widely used at sand filters, reverse osmosis, before and after demineralization systems.
