AQUALINE OZONATION SYSTEMS

Ozone (known as active oxygen) is a special molecule which contains 3 Oxygen atoms.  Ozone is a natural disinfectant, which has a clear and fresh odour which you can smell after a thunderstorm.  It is created in the outer atmosphere by ultraviolet rays and at lower levels due to lightning.  The Ozone layer in the atmosphere is an important protective layer.  Ozone can be produced in high concentrations by the use of high voltage electricity in oxygen rich air.  The intense energy breaks Oxygen molecules and some reform into Ozone.  Ozone cannot be stored because it is unstable and must be made where it is used.
